The products supplied by Degmeda are mostly used for facades, terraces, fences and  interior solutions.

Charring wood is an extremely long-lasting, time-tested method of protecting wood from  environmental factors, moisture and decay. At the same time, this highly sustainable  technique gives the wood a special aesthetic appearance. Read more about charring wood  in the article.

Periodic maintenance of the facade, terrace or fence will increase its durability and help to keep its original color longer.

Periodically apply a special care product to charred wood facades, terraces, or fences (the frequency depends on the specifics of the individual project). The southern part of the facade should be re-oiled every 5 – 10 years, and the terrace boards – every 1 – 3 years.

Only the color of charred wood (except Deep Char) can fade over the years due to UV  rays. Read more in the article.

Installation of charred wood products is no different from installation of untreated wood products. Facade boards can be installed horizontally, vertically or diagonally. We recommend fixing the boards from the outside (download installation guide).

Our recommendation is A2 grade stainless steel screws. We recommend screwing in screws every 500–600 mm (download installation guide).
