Galaxy Villa in Lithuania: Charred Cedar Cladding

About the project

Architects: URBON DESIGN, Algirdas Urbonas, Karolis Bilziukevičius
Photography: Norbert Tukaj

Set against the forested backdrop of Kaunas, this modern villa showcases a minimalist architectural form enriched by natural materials. Developed in close collaboration with the clients and architects, the façade features a custom “Light Grey” charred cedar cladding. This bespoke solution was designed to enhance the villa’s geometric clarity while maintaining harmony with the surrounding landscape. The subtle grey tone provides a refined contrast to the natural setting, offering both aesthetic restraint and long-term durability.

Boards Used in the Project

Degmeda "Light Grey" Charred Cedar

This project’s unique facade was achieved with our “Light Grey” charred cedar boards, developed to meet the architect’s specific vision.

For a nearly identical aesthetic with our standard materials, we highly recommend our “Light Grey” Larch siding boards. It offers virtually the same subtle grey tones and refined texture, providing a beautiful and durable solution.
