Degmeda “Silver Grey” Larch

“Silver Grey” keeps the grey tone light while letting the structure of the wood carry the surface. After charring, the carbon layer is brushed back until the harder grain stands slightly proud of the softer timber around it. Beneath a silver grey oil those raised lines read darker, while the wood between them holds a warmer tone.

On larch the effect is more pronounced, because the growth rings of the species are already strongly drawn. Where “Light Grey” settles into a softer, more even undertone, “Silver Grey” brings that pattern forward – darker grain against warmer, lighter timber, with clear variation from board to board.
