Degmeda “Deep Char” Larch
“Deep Char” is the most expressive finish in the Degmeda larch range. After burning, the naturally formed carbon layer is preserved in full – unbrushed and unchanged in its original structure. The wood grain reveals itself through the cracks and relief formed during the burning process, while the rich black surface creates a distinct impression of depth and mass that cannot be achieved through mechanical processing.
For projects where fire regulations apply, “Deep Char” can be produced with a B-s1, d0 fire classification (Deep Char Larch FR), making it specifiable for public, commercial, and residential buildings where a certified fire safety solution is required.
